My name is Sanora. I am 20 years old and I am studying Elementary Education at Brigham Young University. I was raised in a military family so while I claim many states as "home" my "home home" is in Wisconsin, in a tiny town of 1,500 people. I am currently taking my Fall semester of school off to stay home, save some money, work, reevaluate my life...all that good stuff! I love to read, I love music, I love chocolate and I love my church- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!
So you may be asking yourself, "What exactly is this blog about?" I'm going to be honest with you. I don't really know! In fact, I've never written a blog, so I have no idea what I'm doing. My game plan is just to write about different church-related topics that are important to me as they come up in my life. You also may be asking yourself, "Why exactly are you writing this blog?" Well, this whole blog actually came about because of a conversation I had with a family member. She had a lot of questions about my church and while I didn't know the answer to everything she asked, I did have the answers to some. So I guess I'm writing this blog not only to solidify my own belief in God but to try to help others find God too. No matter what religion you classify yourself as, hopefully through this blog, we can help each other find answers to our questions and become closer to God together.
In my posts I will be referencing the King James Bible as well as The Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants, mormon.org and different speeches given by my church's leaders. Also, if you have questions- don't be afraid to ask them! I'm no expert but I'll answer to the best of my knowledge, do research, ask the opinions of others, etc. Because I think that the best way to learn is to learn from each other! So happy reading!
